:: Body Structure ::
Thin body frame and angular muscles along with a slightly rounded face and lithe shape. His tall legs and thinnly built frame made him perfect for running.

:: Size and Height ::
He is smaller and thinner then the other founders and although smaller it makes it easier for him to run at fast speeds.

He has very short fur along his body except on his tail which has a longer finner hair layering it.

Very fine, thinly layered, light fur which can keep him cool in the hottest of summers.

Leadership ::

Even during his younger stages in life this tom was always one to take the lead. He always came up with the best battle plans as they were going into battle and wouldn't be afraid or back down in a fight. He would lead his patrol to victory and leave no cat behind. He was never one to back down from a challange or let others question his choices.

Loud ::

Despite his small size this tom has a loud booming voice and he isn't afraid to use it. He has a commanding tone to his voice most of the time and he tends to try and use his voice to make sure his clan is in line and stays that way.

Dependant ::

As much as he tries to deny it this cat is very dependant on his clan. He hates being alone and likes being part of something bigger. Something like his clan, who looks up to him and where he can see his efforts are doing something. He was the first to allow females to start training with the other warriors and be something more then just queens.

Defensive ::

When it comes to his clan he can be very defensive. He doesn't want to believe they can do anything wrong and that they all have good intentions and hearts. He is not good at letting things go and if you wrong his clan in any way he won't forget it and he doesn't let his grudges go for long stretches of time.

Protective ::

He is protectve of those he cares about. To his clan, to his kits, even to the females he breed with. He never wanted to see any harm come to any of those cats. He was always fighting to keep his clan and every last cat inside it safe. He hates it when other cats try and move in on his clan and he never wanted others to take advantage of the cats inside it.

Fair ::

This tom was always fair, to all the cats inside his clan. He treated the cats there like they were equals. He didn't look down on the warriors or the deputies and never tried to be a big bad leader to the apprentices or terrify the kits into behaving. He was understanding and always let the males know in his clan to treat females equally.

:: Strongest skill ::

Running > He can run the fastest out of all the founders. Even while they were in one clan Quickplaines was always the quickest.

:: Strengths ::

Quick Mind > Just like his quick paws this tom was also quick thinking. He came up with his best plans and ideas while on the run.

Stays Cool in Summer > Because of his short fur he stays cool all during the warm seasons. He doesn't overheat and can continue to run even when the sun shines brightest.

Good Hearing > His larger ears help him to listen and his hearing is superb. He is atune to hearing sounds before he can see or smell things and he depends on this sense more then the others.

:: Weakest skil ::

Small Frame > Because of his small frame he is more fragile then he would admit. He can be easily injured and easily pushed over or unbalanced.

:: Weaknesses ::

Cold during Winter > Because of his short fur he may stay cool in summer but that means during the cold weather he is cold all the time and even his fluffy tail can't help him with that.

Doesn't depend on Eyes > Becuase his hearing is so well tuned he tends to close his eyes while he runs and doesn't see things before it's too late. He often runs into trees or into rabbit holes that way.

High Matabolizm > Because he burns energy so quickly this tom needs to eat more then you would think for a cat this skinny. He runs out of energy often and can appear lazy because he gets tired.

|| HISTORIC INFORMATION ||

:: History:

.: Birth season: Summer

[ Kit-hood ]

Flying-bird was the first female to be allowed to train with the other warriors, to become a warrior within the great clan of the valley. So her first, and only, litter came as a surprise to most of the clan. At that time there weren't 5 clans, there was only one; the Clan of the Valley. The other males in this clan looked down on Flying-bird because she took the normal route for females even though she had been allowed to become a warrior.

This litter consisted of three males and one female, so at least she sort of redeemed herself with having a lot of boys. About this time was when Palestar, the leader of this one clan, was changing the way names worked and began asking queens to name their kits with the ending -kit. These kits were some of the first to be named in the new style, however females still didn't get that privilege. This hurt Flying-bird because she wanted her daughter to grow up like she did and learn the fighting, the hunting, everything to become a warrior, but she obeyed her leader and named her kits; Quickkit, Treekit, Frostedkit, and Glow. Instead of trying to get her leader to change his mind about letting females become warriors she taught her boys to respect females.

Quickkit loved and protected his sister through all the teasing and picking on during their kithood. He got picked on a bunch as well because his mother was a warrior and his father just another rogue. But it only made him stronger, he grew tougher and stood up for himself and his family.

[ Apprenticeship ]

When he became an apprentice, Quickpaw learned quickly. He picked up hunting and patrolling like he was born to do it. He loved to run and he fought in a completely different style then most of the other cats in this clan. He could weave and dodge better then the other students and easily beat them in practice fights. He flew through his training and was named a warrior early.

[ Warrior ]

As a warrior he watched as fights broke out inside the clan. These petty rivalries and trying to be made deputy to the one clan. He trained an apprentice of his own, a shy young apprentice named Skypaw who he watched become a good warrior. Around this time he also took on his first breeding season. He mated with a strong shecat named Crystal and she bore him a litter of one but it was male and it made him proud. He never treated Crystal like she was just to breed, he kept in contact and was nice to her, treating her like she was his equal. Redkit looked a lot like his mother and Quickplaines was proud of him.

As he watched Redkit grow up he took on another female to mate with, this wasn't strange in the clan at the time because the females were only around to bare litters. The ones inside the clan didn't mind this because they were protected, fed, and sheltered from the loners and rogues of the valley. His second female's name was Wing a shy little thing that bore him a healthy female and two males. They had the lithe body of their father and the kind temper of their mother. Song, Yellowkit, and Grasskit grew up in a happy childhood, sheltered from the fights within the clan like all the kits were.

[ Deputy ]

Shocking news was delivered the next full moon when Palestar revealed the new deputy to the clan. 5 cats were chosen, a completely crazy idea because deputies were only ever one cat. Quickplaines, Blackclover, Rockymountain, Softmeadow, and Sharpthorn were chosen to be deputies. Quickplaines was grateful although confused as to why they had been picked.

When he became deputy though, all the females wanted to mate with him. They wanted to have his kits as bragging rights of sorts. He took one more female to mate with before the war broke out. A female named Pearl bore him two females and two males. All adorable kits with fiesty personalities. Sun and Shimmer; the two females were sweet and loved to laugh while ghostkit and Lightkit were little tricksters.

They were three months old when the war broke out. The cats within the clan had been growing restless and tempers had been rising. Soon it was too much and the fights and skirmishes inside the clan grew larger. Full on battles were taking place inside the camp. Innocent females and kits were being slain in an atempt to gain power. Palestar was murdered. No cat knew what to do then. The fighting stopped for a short period. No one knew who killed him and no one wanted to find out.

Lost and confused the 5 leaders spoke about it, none of them wanting to take the rule over the entire clan. It was too much to handle and each deputy had enough followers that it would be too much of a risk to choose one of them to become leader without more unrest. So the deputies decided on a plan. They split up the valley into sections by type of territory. And each deputy took their supporters and followers and kits away to their own seperate clan.

[ Leader ]

Quickplaines chose his favorite place out of the entire valley and picked the flat grassy plaines and moors of the valley as home. He had his kits, the females he had mated with, and all of his supporters. He wasn't sure where to start but continued doing what he was use to. He taught the males and trained them. Made them warriors and they helped train the other young ones. Warriors took females to mate who gave birth to more kits which helped their clan grow.

Fights still were breaking out at the borders of the clan. Some of the cats still restless, still secretly vying for power. Quickplaines took on another female, a girl named Poppy who bore him a large litter of four males and one female. They were happy kits; Knitekit, Timperkit, Jumpkit, Runningkit, and Leaf and grew up fearful of the other clans despite their father's attempts to persuade them otherwise.

Another horrible fight broke out and cats within each clan broke away fighting and killing as many cats as they could in their power hungry rage. They murdered innocent females, kits, and young warriors and apprentices. Quickplaines feared for his new kits saftey for he had bedded two more females, Lye and Maple, whom had become pregnant with kits- morningkit, frecklekit, brook, and whisper of Lye's litter. Maple was still heavily pregnant and due at any time.

All the new leaders didn't know how to stop the killing and when they were in their darkest hour and they didn't know where to look for a ray of light they gathered under the full moon in the center of the valley where the old camp use to be. And Palestar appeared to them.

He was glowing and it almost looked like there were stars shining in his fur. He looked so sad when he gazed at them, and he looked disappointed in them. But he only shook his head at them and asked for them to gather their clans and come all of them together to this spot tomorrow night while the moon would still be full. When they did what he asked the other clans kept with their own clans' and refused to mingle to even look at each other with anything but hostile glares.

When Palestar appeared again he was accompanied by those who had died. All of them had glowing eyes and bodies with stars shining in their fur. Palestar leapt to the rock in the center and told all the cats assembled that there should not be this distrust and cruelty between cats that use to be brothers and kin. All the cat's assembled felt horrible. Palestar went on to tell them that he knew that he might die and that he had picked each of his deputies to create their clans. He then gave each clan a name in honor of the founders.

Cloverclan after Blackclover, Meadowclan after Softmeadow, Plainesclan after Quickplaines, Mountainclan after Rockymountain, and Thornclan after Sharpthorn. Palestar also told the cat's gathered that he would be watching over all the deceased in a clan in the sky. A starclan. They were to always honor their past and their ancestors and to always seek peace. He set down the law of the valley; the warrior code for all the cats gathered and touched each of the new Leader's foreheads to grant them the knowledge they would need to guide their clans.

Quickplaines now knew where the star lake was and he along with the other new leaders led their clans home. The next night they visited the underground cavern and gained their nine lives as well as spoke to Palestar about how to train their cats and who should become warriors and who shouldn't. Quickplaines, now Quickstar was eager and quick to suggest that females also take on the roles as warriors. He explained how it would only be fair. Their lives had been slain as well as warriors. They died side by side, they deserved to be trained. Palestar agreed and allowed it. He told each leader about the naming sytem and about how herbs would keep the clans alive in injury and sickness and to look for a cat in each of their clan who knew of the herbs. And that they would know the cat when they saw them.

Then they each returned to their camps. Quickstar announced the news that Palestar had given them and renamed his newly born daughter Hazel, who had been born while the rest of the clan was at the gathering, Hazelkit. The first female to be named as a warrior and who would be trained to be a warrior once she was of age.

And thus the age of the clans of the valley began.
